Sorry that I haven't posted any stills from the movie yet.
Last week I showed a rough cut to the class and it went pretty good. I am still polishing the film and it will come out good. I'll post some stills of the movie before the week is over. I promise! There will be a title change.It will no longer be called Chronophobia.

They are all to wear black business suits and their respective color coded arm bands. Men and women should wear black ties. If its hard to get a business suit then a black sweater or coat will do.

I already started post production on the film. Its turning out better that I expected . I was aiming for something serious and so far I am achieving that goal. I still have one more scene to shoot. That's the Screening room scene. I will shoot it at DMAC (downtown Orlando) this coming weekend.

FADE IN:

INT. SCREENING ROOM -- NIGHT

THESEUS, HIPPOLYTA,DEMETRIUS,HERMIA,LYSANDER and HELENA are sitting on the front row. They are all wearing elegant suits. On each their left arm they have different color arm bands. They look like high society people. All of them except for Theseus and Hippolyta have non emotive faces. They some how are in a hypnotic state. They seat in this order: Helena, Hermia, Hippolyta, Theseus, Demetrius, Lysander.

The projector starts, the movie begins.

ON SCREEN:

INT. FACTORY -- DAY

PYRAMUS is working at the stone factory. He is going over a pile of stones.

PYRAMUS
So what is a normal day in my life? I am a strainer at the stone selection factory. My job is to select the highest quality stones. The best of the stones are taken by the delivery truck to Theseus's mansion, then they are placed either on his stone garden or his pond. I've started a hobby of collecting the worst quality stones, the ones that Theseus would have someone killed for bringing. It makes my job and life more bearable just knowing that I own something that Theseus hates.

Theseus slowly grins. He then grabs Hippolyta's hand. She fearfully smiles back at him.

INT. DARK ROOM -- NIGHT

Pyramus is sitting on a wooden chair, writing his journal entry on a cinder block desk. There are rocks everywhere but in a very organized way. You see rocks in jars Labeled too big, too small.

PYRAMUS
In Theseus government no one is allowed to interact with the opposite sex. And the situation is just getting worst. They are about to release a new drug that will not only sedate emotion but make for more passive and less independent workers. The drug is its early stages. I've heard stories of it being secretly tested on workers, of it being put on food and water, and people all of the sudden dying from a heart attack. The world is a terrible place.

INT. STONE FACTORY -- NIGHT

Pyramus enters through a small door. He quietly approaches to the old concrete wall.

He touches the wall feeling its texture. He then tries to listen to the other side and puts his head next to the wall. After a while, he takes out a stone from his pocket and begins to tap the wall in a rhythmic pattern.

PYRAMUS
Oh wall, why are you deceiving me?

INT. OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL -- NIGHT

THISBE a worker of a local factory, is walking by the side of the wall pausing for a few moments, putting her ear on the wall trying to listen to PYRAMUS that usually communicates this way with her lover. She grows desperate because she cannot hear the tapping. She looks very thin,tired and worn out. But there is this look in her eyes of hope. Suddenly she hears the tapping. She smiles and takes out her stone and begins tapping.

THISBE
Pyramus is that you?

Pyramus in the other side suddenly smiles and listens to Thisbes message. He then begins to tap.

PYRAMUS
Yes and as faithful as ever. Meet me at Ninny's forest.

THISBE
Neither death nor life will stop me from coming.

Off screen:

HIPPOLYTA
This is the silliest thing I've ever seen.

EXT. NINNY'S--PARK -- NIGHT

Suddenly we see from afar that Thisbe has entered the park. Thisbe stops and stares at the fountain.

From afar Snug the spy enters the frame. He looks at Thisbe with anger.

She takes out the stone that Pyramus gave her.

THISBE
Why aren't you here my love.

She suddenly hears some footsteps.

Snug arrives with gun in hand.

Thisbe is terrified she drops the stone.

On Screen:

EXT. NINNY'S FOUNTAIN -- NIGHT

Pyramus arrives, Suddenly he finds Thisbes tapping stone. He suddenly begins to feel a chest pain. The chemical has taken effect, his heart beats wildly and suddenly explodes.

Thisbe returns from her escape. She freezes as she notices that Pyramus is dead. She looks at his face for one last time. Because of her strong love emotions, she dies the same way.

INT. SCREENING ROOM -- NIGHT

THESEUS
Why do we do that to ourselves. We invest so much time and energy into another person, all of our self worth.

Theseus caresses Hippolyta.

THESEUS
Only to one day have it taken away and ourselves along with it.

The camera reveals that Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius and Helena are dead.

So what is a normal day in my life? I work at the stone selection factory. A big truck delivers a big pile of gravel every week. My job is to select the highest quality stones. Otto doesn't like the stones that have cracks in them, or if they are very small. They have to be smooth, and medium sized. Not to big, not to small, MEDIUM. After selecting the best of the stones they are taken by the delivery truck to Otto's mansion, then they are placed eighter on his stone garden or his pond.

I've started a hobby of collecting the worst quality stones, the ones that Otto would have someone killed for bringing. It brings my adrenaline up just the fact of thinking that I own something that Otto hates.

I had seen her on the metro every Friday. In Otto's government no one was allowed to interact with the opposite sex. I couldn't stand the fact that if I tried to talk to her I was going to be locked away and tortured. How was I going to communicate with her. I wanted her and she wanted me.

That's when I heard a tapping. A familiar sound, an old form of communication my grandfather had taught me, Morse code. I was trying to remember and it slowly came to mind. The code said: ÂCan anybody hear me?Â I looked at her immediately and she looked at me. She stopped tapping. I suddenly took out one of the stones that I had collected during the day and with it started tapping on the holding bar. I told her that she should smile. And she did. I had never seen her smile. And so we continued to tap. We tapped for 30 minutes before her stop. When she got up to leave the metro I secretly gave her my favorite stone.

For days we have communicated through that wall. We have shared many thoughts, many things we have in common. Today it is the day that I will tell her to meet at Ninnys fountain. We might be caught, we might be killed but what does it matter. Our ancestors were free to express their feelings. We live in a terrible world.

INT. SCREENING ROOM -- DAY

THESEUS, HIPPOLYTA, DEMETRIUS, LYSANDER, HELENA AND HERMIA with an air of arrogance, seat in the front row of the screening room. They all have notepads to verify the quality of the films that are to be viewed by the masses.

The projector turns on and the weekly propaganda begins.

As the music and graphics appear their faces mildly become more human, they seem to feel comfortable.

Their leader OTTO (dictator) appears on the screen.

OTTO
Our plan for this month is to make the masses unemotional to love.

A short documentary begins about the negative effects of love

and why is it important to take this emotion away from humans.

OTTO
Our scientists have developed a new chemical that when applied

to humans will cause their blood pressure to rise to extreme levels,

so extreme that their heart will explode if they were to have strong love emotions.

With this new tool, our people will be afraid to fall in love.

The following is a short film that will show its effects.

The short film begins. Theseus, Hippolyta and the others seem confused.

ON SCREEN:

INT. ABANDONED BUILDING -- NIGHT

PYRAMUS a worker of a local weapon factory, enters through a small door. He quietly approaches to the old concrete wall.

He touches the wall feeling its texture. He then tries to listen to the other side and puts his head next to the wall. After a while, he takes out a rock from his pant pocket an d begins to tap the wall in a rhythmic pattern.

PYRAMUS

Suddenly we see from afar that Thisbe has entered the park. Snug suddenly hides behind some bushes. Thisbe stops and stares at the fountain.

THISBE
Why aren't you here my love.

Snug comes out of the bushes and grabs Thisbe by her sweater.

SNUG
You are under arrest!

Thisbe is terrified and tries to let go. She manages to let go of her sweater and runs away.

Pyramus is walking on the sidewalk, he suddenly hears a gun shot.

EXT. NINNY'S FOUNTAIN -- NIGHT

Pyramus arrives, Suddenly he finds a bloodstained sweater near the fountain. He walks towards it kneels down and grabs it. He is in shock,he begins to cry. He suddenly begins to feel a chest pain. The chemical has taken effect, his heart beats wildly and suddenly explodes.
Thisbe returns from her escape. She appears to have a gun shot wound on her right arm. She freezes as she notices that Pyramus is dead.

She begins to cry. She admires his face for one last time. Because of her strong love emotions, she dies the same way.

INT. SCREENING ROOM -- DAY
The camera pans from the screen and turns to Theseus and the others. All of them are dead.

Character analysis for Midsummer Nights Dream Project

Character Analysis

Thesesus, Hippolyta, Demetrius, Helena, Lysander and Hermia:
Arrogant members of the propaganda committee. They have been brainwashed into loving their leader and accept all the propaganda films that he shows them.
Pyramus:
Factory worker, is desperate to see Thisbe. Because of oppressive government regulations he cannot have contact with her, but has manged to communicate with her by their secret wall knocking language. He is frail, timid and very fearful.
Thisbe:
Factory worker, in love with Pyramus. She collects rocks as a hobby. She seems depressed and tired but doesn't give up on hope
Snug:
Member of the governments security force. He is tall and strong. He is also very dumb and only lives to follows orders.
Otto:
Oppressive tyrant of this society. He controls everything and appears everywhere even on movies and documentaries. He brainwashes the masses into being faithful to him and working hard for the good of the nation.

Midsummer Nights Dream Project

Its a dystopian take on Midsummer Nights dream. I am adapting act 5 scene 1 of the play. It takes place in a dystopian government ruled by president Otto. Theseus, Hippolyta and the young lovers are part of the propaganda committee and review the documentaries that are to be viewed by the masses. In the short film, they view this docu/film about a new chemical being developed, that will make people afraid of feeling deep love emotions. The short film that they view is about two factory workers that are secretly in love and do not know that they have been administered this chemical.
